4 months old

Katie Grace turned 4 months old on Christmas.  What a way to celebrate!  She had her 4 month check up after the holidays.  She received 4 shots and 1 oral vaccine.  There were two nurses in her room this time (one was training), so the veteran nurse asked me if I wanted her to hold Katie Grace while she received her shots.  I said "PLEASE", and I think it turned out well because she was so confused about who was holding her that she didn't cry until the third shot!  Here are her 4 month stats:

Weight: 16 lbs, 8.5 oz (95th percentile)
Height: 25 3/4 in (90th percentile)
Head circumference: 16 1/4 in (55th percentile) (she has her daddy's little head!)

She has started eating cereal and loves it!  She gets to start vegetables at 5 months.  I plan on making my own baby food just because I've heard it is more economical and healthy for her.  Katie Grace is finding her voice.  She has a high pitched squeal/scream that she loves to make (which can be ear piercing at times).  She has started to notice our pets, especially Brinkley and loves to give him hugs and pull his fur.  Luckily, he loves her just as much :)  She is learning her name and will turn toward you when you say it.  She enjoys tummy time and has started to turn in circles while on her tummy to reach for a toy.  Her rolling over last month was sort of a fluke because she hasn't done it since those few times, but I know the day will come when I can't keep her still!  She got her first cold right around Christmas.  Her congestion lasted about a week.  She also had pink eye while she had a cold!  She looked so pitiful for a few days, but luckily she recovered quickly.
